Bold Park
With sweeping views over Perth and the Indian Ocean, Bold Park in the suburb of City Beach, is a popular place for bushwalking and picnicking.
The park is nearly 500 hectares in size making it one of Perth’s largest remaining urban bushland areas. There are plenty of bushwalking trails which take you deep into virgin bush where you’ll see native plants including the rare Wembley Wax shrub.
All kinds of animals and birds live in Bold Park including the brush-tail possum, many species of bats, at least 29 types of reptiles and hundreds of species of birds. Here, there are plenty of places to enjoy a picnic surrounded by nature.
Bold Park is about a 15 minute drive from the city.
