Greenough Hamlet
Greenough Hamlet is a historic village that has been beautifully preserved and captures the essence of life in the 1800s. Collect a visitor’s guide on arrival and walk through the village, learning about the significance of each building along the way.
There are eleven delightful buildings for you to look through, each of which is filled with antique furniture and artefacts. Look through the first school in Greenough, imagine what it would have been like for prisoners on trial at the courthouse and visualise the community attending church on Sunday at one of three churches in the Hamlet.
Once you have completed the walk, return to the old store which has been converted into tearooms to enjoy the ambience of this historic town with a cup of tea and cake.
Greenough is a four and a half hour drive north of Perth, and is unlike any other historic town in Australia due to its exceptional preservation.
