Hollybank Forest Reserve
Hollybank Forest Reserve is located at Rocherlea, just 30-minutes’ drive from Launceston, northern Tasmania.
This is one of Tasmania's most popular picnic areas and has a distinctly European flavour. A 40-minute 'walk of change' passes through examples of Tasmania's major production forests types in a demonstration forest. Interpretive signs show how each forest type is harvested and regenerated. In autumn, exotic deciduous trees are a colourful contrast to the natives. Hollybank Forest Reserve is a place where the locals drop in for a barbecue or stay for the day to celebrate a special occasion.
The forest is just 30-minutes drive from Launceston. Turn off on the B81 at Rocherlea.
