Elmslie Wines Pty Ltd is a vineyard and wine centre at Legana, in northern Tasmania.
The four hectare (10 acre) vineyard is set amongst picturesque surroundings. Visits can be arranged by appointment and although there is not an operational cellar door, you can sample the wines. Elmslie Wines produce pinot noir, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay. The vineyard also has a wine centre where Elmsile Wines carry out contract wine-making. The operators are happy to assist you with your wine tasting and talk with you about the varieties of wine produced. While you are in the region, you can also explore other attractions such as regional fruit orchards or book a cruise on the Tamar River. Explore the city centre where you will find delightful cafes, historic museums and boutique shops. Visit the Cataract Gorge and take a chairlift ride on the world’s longest single-span chairlift. Wander the peaceful surrounds below and enjoy lunch overlooking views of the gorge and colourful resident peacocks.
