Gone Rustic

Gone Rustic Studio and Gallery in St. Marys, Tasmania provide a feast for the eyes! What was an old service station has been renovated to become a showcase for the designs of Canadian-born Rita Summers, an award winning and published textile artist. Colourful quilts, from traditional to art styles, are hung on the walls and other handmade items are on display, some of which are for sale.
Touring exhibitions and guest exhibitors are also featured at various times during the year, and workshops are offered on a regular basis. You can purchase a unique handmade item at Gone Rustic or enrol for a workshop.
The Studio and Gallery are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays to Fridays (and other times by appointment). When Ian Summers, whose day job is teaching, opens up his display of “old stuff” across the road, you can also see classic cars and collectibles (by appointment only).
St Marys is two hours east of Launceston (129 kilometres/80 miles), three hours north-east of (218 kilometres/135 miles) and a short drive from Tasmania’s east coast.
