Bicheno Sealife Centre
Bicheno Sealife Centre offers a fascinating aquarium based at Bicheno on Tasmania’s east coast.
In the centre you will find giant Tasmanian crabs, seahorses, live crayfish and a range of other sea-life species. Walk through the wonderful display and get up close to the underwater creatures. You can also experience the breath-taking scenery of the east coast overlooking Waubs Bay and Diamond Island. Observe 'The Enterprise,’ a Tasmanian ketch built in Hobart in 1902.
Browse through the gift shop, stocked with a wide selection of shells, Tasmanian souvenirs, books, clothing and more. You can also stop and enjoy a delicious menu including many seafood dishes and home-made cakes freshly prepared by the chef and manager, Nathan Fyfe. The centre is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm throughout the year except Christmas Day. Lunch is served between 11.30am and 2pm. Morning and afternoon tea is available at all times and dinner is served between 6pm until late.
The Sealife Centre also caters for special and group functions. Come and enjoy wonderful meals, relaxing atmosphere, fascinating sea-life and spectacular views.
