Step into another world at Looking Glass Cottage’s “Fibre Optic Magic” situated in Railton. An amazing display of fibre optic lamps in the magical Ethereal and Christmas Rooms. Viewing is free - group and bus tours welcome.
Looking Glass Cottage specialises in magical fibre optic lamps – from frogs and butterflies to eagles and fairies - you will find beautiful lamps and an amazing array of Christmas novelties and trees up to eight feet high. We also have beautiful giftware and jewellery, locally made Tasmanian craft and souvenirs - find that gift for any special occasion.
Railton is a part of Tasmania’s Outdoor Art Gallery in the Cradle Country region. View our Topiary Gardens including "Cradle Mountain National Paddock” and Tasmania’s only "living" Tassie Tiger”.

20-30 minute drive from Devonport via Latrobe on the scenic route to Cradle Mountain.
You will find a free undercover electric BBQ directly across the road from Looking Glass Cottage in Lions Park, or for lovely home made cooking try the "Town of Topiary” Tearooms.
