Northdown Market
The Northdown Market is a community market near Port Sorell, north west Tasmania. Northdown is a short drive west of Port Sorell (seven kilometres/four miles) and 15 minutes east of Devonport (16 kilometres/10 miles).
The Northdown Market takes place on the second Saturday of each month from 9:30am in the Northdown Anglican Church Hall. Here you can browse the tables of bric-a-brac and collectables or choose from the selection of fresh, locally-grown produce. Find treasure among the handmade crafts, take home some fine home-baked goods or take a break from your bargain hunting with a drink and light snack. All proceeds from the market go to the Northdown Anglican Church.
At nearby Port Sorell you can explore historic buildings in Port Sorell village or just soak up the atmosphere of this seaside holiday town. You can go fishing or boating, take long beach walks or swim in the clear seas of Tasmania’s north coast.
