Kangaroo Island Marine Centre
At the Kangaroo Island Marine Centre you will see interpretive information about Kingscote's little penguin colony as well as saltwater aquariums containing a variety of sea creatures. A large star chart explains some of the constellations in the night sky that you may see while on tour in the penguin colony.
Your tour begins in the building with our guides feeding some of the sea creatures. Moving outside we take a torch lit walk around the foreshore through Kingscote's little penguin colony.
Each tour takes about one hour and it is recommended you bring warm clothes or a windbreaker jacket and wear closed, sturdy shoes to walk through the colony. Our shop contains souvenirs and Kangaroo Island products.
Pelican feeding is available behind our building at 5pm daily. The Pelican man gives a lively and informative talk about the pelicans before feeding them at the waters edge. Cost is AUD3.00.
