Glen-Forest Tourist Park
Glen-Forest Tourist Park and vineyard is set in very picturesque surroundings, just 15 minutes drive from Port Lincoln, South Australia. With many attractions to suit all ages, it is the ideal location for family picnics, birthday parties, social club outings and school excursions.
Glen-Forest Tourist Park comprises 70 acres of animal park and the vineyard, with varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz, which covers 60 acres of the property.
It is fed by natural springs and creeks all year round and the dams are home to prolific water birds.
The family-operated tourist park provides a casual atmosphere where visitors are invited to wander at leisure, stopping to feed the variety of animals and birds. There are baby animals for the children to feed and cuddle. Animal varieties include koalas, dingos, kangaroos, wombats, sheep (including Damaras), goats, emus, camels, horses, cows, water buffalos, Babe the pig, ostriches, ducks and peacocks. A walk in the bird aviary is a definite highlight of Glen-Forest Tourist Park.
Try your luck at the 18 hole Animal Run Putt Putt Mini Golf Course.
Glen-Forest Tourist Park and vineyard offer free barbecue facilities and an undercover eating area with kiosk where tea, coffee, drinks, ice creams and souvenirs are available. Sit and eat your lunch while the children enjoy the animals in the nursery area. If you prefer, there are shaded lawn areas, or venture out into the park and enjoy the natural surroundings.
