Lake Proserpine, which is also known as Peter Faust Dam is situated 26 kilometres inland from Proserpine, which is located within Central Queensland. Proserpine is also just a short drive from Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour the gateway to the famous Whitsunday Islands and The Great Barrier Reef. Lake Proserpine plays host to some of the biggest Barramundi and Sooty Grunter found in impoundment's in Australia, making it the ideal sport fishing destination.
