Fivebough and Tuckerbil Wetlands

Located just 2km north-east of the Leeton Post office, Fivebough Wetlands are an internationally recognised site of importance by RAMSAR.

With five kilometers of walking trails, viewing mounds, bird hides and an interpretive centre, the wetland is an outstanding eco-tourism asset to Leeton, and is favoured by bird-watchers and nature lovers across Australia. It contains a habitat of exceptional quality for water birds, particularly waders.

Around 174 different species of bird have been observed at Fivebough to date.
