Hunter River Lancers and Light Horse Memorial Museum

The Museum is located next to the historic Gaza Training Depot in Armidale. Our mission is to provide an exhibition and research facility that relates to the cultural heritage of Australian Light Horse and Armour.

The collection covers material dating from pre-federation colonial forces in the New England and Hunter River areas to the present day. The approaches give young and old a range of opportunities to increase their awareness of what the 12/16 Hunter River Lancers Regiment has meant to the community
