Pioneer Park Machinery Museum

The Pioneer Park Machinery Museum is situated just off the Newell Highway, north of Parkes.

The Museum displays a range of tractors, harvesters and agricultural implements and machinery used in days gone by on many of the region's farms. The only Reins Tractor in Australia is housed at the Museum and the Big Four is another of the many unusual pieces of machinery in the collection.

Machinery will be started up for larger group bookings and the museum will open earlier by appointment.

Pioneer Park is the site of a $AUS1.5 million project to combine the resources of Parkes’ three museums. This will include significant parts of the collection from the old Henry Parkes Museum, dedicated to the life story of the ‘Father of Federation’ and for whom Parkes was named. A replica of Henry Parkes' birthplace, the Moat House in Coventry (UK) has been erected on site and officially opened in May 2008.
