Henry Lawson Centre

The Henry Lawson Centre is housed in the salvation Army Hall built in 1922,
the year of Lawson's death. The exhibition "A Walk through Lawson's Life"
illustrates many facets of an incredible period in the development of
Australia's cultural history.

Using Lawson's words, the display visits the poverty, restlessness and family
disintegration, deafness and alcoholism that moulded his life's work. The
collection housed within the centre includes original manuscripts, letters,
artefacts, photos and paintings and an extensive collection of rare Lawson
1st Editions.
