Located in Gulargambone, two eight two eight is a vibrant, unique, exciting and innovative community project in central western New South Wales.
Local volunteers created two eight two eight in an attempt to reinvigorate their town's economy. They began by refurbishing a dilapidated building in the
main street to develop a tourist information centre, and over the next few years the project grew into something much more.
Named after the town's postcode, the complex now boasts a cafe; landscaped courtyard; gallery and craft shop selling local art, craft and produce; a
function centre; quality catering service including 'Dinners Under the Stars'; monthly movie nights; library and storytelling; second-hand bookshop and a
visitor information centre.
