Lake Burrendong State Park is located on the foreshores of Lake Burrendong. It is divided into two sections: Burrendong Park and Mookerawa Park. Both sections are set in natural bushland, with Mookerawa Park being less developed than Burrendong Park.

Mookerawa has unlimited tent sites and 3 cabins all in a quiet location beside Lake Burrendong (3 ½ times larger than Sydney Harbour).
