Blackdown Estate is a working heritage rural property situated on the outskirts of Bathurst Central Business District. Blackdown was amongst the first homesteads built west of the Blue Mountains.
Blackdown Estate comprises of 56 hectares (140 acres) atop a gentle rise overlooking Bathurst and Mount Panorama. Formal gardens include parterre gardens, avenues of specimen trees, vegetable gardens, olive grove, grape vines and sweeping lawns.

AccommodationBlackdown offers farmstay accommodation which includes ten bedrooms and four bathrooms (all with heated tile floors) in: two Heritage Deluxe Rooms, six Queen Rooms, Convict Cottages and Stable Bunkhouse with eight singles. Facilities include formal and informal rooms, a large dining and a butler's pantry for self serve refreshments. For comfort there is heating throughout the homestead including open fires. Accommodation includes continental breakfast and cooked breakfast on request. | |
