Aboriginal Blue Mountains Walkabout

Quai da ngalaringi nangarmi- Welcome to the Dreamtime!

Awaiting you is an amazing ancient quest now called walkabout. Discover a cultural rite of passage that required bravery to achieve the most precious gifts of all – knowledge and respect. Trekking through a lost world of stunning Aboriginal landscape, you will gain a very special understanding of the local Darug culture.

The Aboriginal Walkabout Tour is a challenging wilderness experience, where you can discover what it was like to be a traditional Aboriginal. You will follow the traditional method of learning, by visiting actual sites. Following an ancient songline, you will venture off-track to understand these hidden places of wonder that cannot be reached by other means.

The 'Walkabout' will stimulate your senses, enrich your spirit and give you a timeless connection to the sacred land. It is independently owned, operated and guided by Aboriginal Evan Yanna Muru, who is Blue Mountains-born and bred. He has spent his life rediscovering the local rock art and is committed to site education and reservation.

Evan shares with you a unique, non-commercial and refreshingly personal small group adventure that is rated by many as their Australian highlight!
