CityRail is the passenger rail service covering the greater Sydney region and is the sister company to CountryLink (which is the passenger rail service covering country and long distance services within NSW).
CityRail and CountryLink are two independent services operating under Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp). RailCorp is the government agency responsible for all passenger rail services in NSW.

Blue Mountains ExplorerLinkThe Blue Mountains ExplorerLink ticket includes same day return rail travel to Katoomba from anywhere on the CityRail network, and a self guided pick up and set down style tour on the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus. With 30 stops in the Katoomba and Leura area, it is the perfect tour for those who enjoy total flexibility when planning their day. A 3-day option is also available, which includes return CityRail travel to the Blue Mountains (any station between Wentworth Falls and Zig Zag) as well as unlimited travel between these stations and unlimited access to the Explorer busover the 3-day period. The bus operates in a continuous circuit every hour allowing you to alight and rejoin the bus as often as you like. A guide map is included so that you can explore at your own pace. The Explorer bus also returns to Katoomba regularly and you can return home on any train you wish. Stops allow access to various activities ranging from art galleries and tea houses to bushwalks, waterfalls and spectacular mountain scenery including the Three Sisters, Scenic Railway and Skyway, Leura Cascades, Everglades Gardens and many more. The Blue Mountains ExplorerLink 1 and 3 day tickets can be purchased on any day. The Explorer bus departs from Katoomba station at 9.30am, 10.30am, 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm. | |
