Mount Wilson Gardens
Now internationally famous, the charming village of Mount Wilson is reached
north of the Bells Line of Road between Windsor and Lithgow. Situated on a
volcanic outcrop of nutrient rich soil, and only a 40-minute drive from
Katoomba, the village offers breathtaking 360 degree views within and beyond
the mountains.
A large number of private gardens are open to the public in spring and autumn, but a few of them are open all year round or for special occasions.
Behind the magnificent old stone walls and gates of Mount Wilson's
distinguished homes lie lush private gardens. Some have been planted for over
100 years with mature specimens of exotic fine trees and shrubs.

Leaves of brilliant green to all shades of yellow, to flaming reds, blazing
scarlet to russet browns and gold's are rich in contrast to the colours of the
native trees and flowers.
