Bowerbird Gallery
Bowerbird Gallery is an innovative new community gallery in the centre of the World Heritage Blue Mountains in Katoomba.
The gallery encourages all artists of all capabilities to display their art works.
The beautiful old building holds seven show rooms of various sizes and displays art from the floors to the walls providing a colourful, warm and welcoming feeling. The paintings range in mediums from oils, watercolours, pastels, collage, line and ink drawings as well as a range of sculptures from bronze moulds to found objects assemblages. There is also a collection of black and white; and colour photography and a display of beautiful hand-made glass and costume jewellery.
A cafe on the grounds is open during the day for breakfast, lunch, coffee and teas.
The major exhibition changes monthly.
Classes are available to attend, with this month class on mural painting.
