2 day Summer Snowy Mountains Tour2 days to explore and enjoy the Australian Apls and learn about the Snowy Hydro Electric Scheme. Visit Australia's highest township, Camramurra and overnight at Khancoban, both townships built by the Hydro Scheme. Next day have morning tea with the kangaroos at Geehi before lunching in Threadbo. Take the chairlift to Mt Crackenback before visiting Jindabyne and then return to Canberra. There are no deadlines in this tour, it is designed to enable you to stop and experience the mountains, photograph the vistas and generally unwind. Canberra and Region - Canberra One Day WanderingsA visit to Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and the opportunity to wander with the kangaroos and perhaps emus, take the time to view the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies and try to spot and elusive Platypus. Partake of a sumptuous picnic in the great outdoors. Learn a little of mans journey into space at the Canberra Deep Space Communications Centre, you will find a full scale model of the Mars Rover that NASA sent to discover the likely hood of water on the red planet. We will visit Telstra Tower, travel through the embassy precinct and take in the most recognisable views of Canberra from Mt Ainslie, along with the less well known Red Hill and Mt Plesant. Morning or afternoon tea provided. Cool Climate WineriesVisit the Canberr region of Cool Climate Wineries, a full day with lunch or an afternoon. The wineries are usually in the Murrumbateman region and offer a variey of wine styles. Visit small family owned and operated wineries for the oportunity to meet the people who make the wines and love their work. We are happy to cater for small groups and design the tour with their needs/interests in mind. These tours can be for just one day or for a series of tours during their visit to the Canberra region. An example of this could be to visit the local Cool Climate Wineries, this could mean visiting only those in the Murrumbateman area or perhaps concentrating on the Bungendore/Lake George area. Other tours that can be arranged are to Cowra and the Japanese Gardens, perhaps a 2 day tour to Gundagai, Junee ( a marvelour licorice factory) and Cootamundra.
