The Albion Park dairying district began as mostly small rented mixed farms where women and children did most of the work while the men worked on the
land. Macquarie Pass opened in 1898. Gabriel Timbs, who has 21 children, was a member of the board responsible for erecting the first public school in
Albion Park in 1872. The Ravensthorpe Guesthouse & Restaurant was built by Doctor A.W. Bateman in 1893 is now a Winner Best New Restaurant South
