Johnnie Walker Classic 2009
The Johnnie Walker Classic, Asia’s luxury golf experience is tri-sanctioned by the European, Australasian and Asian Tours. Uniquely, the tournament is a “touring” event, and as such, the host changes each year as the tournament moves from one country to another.
Starting in 1990 in Hong Kong, this prestigious tournament is also one of the Asia Pacific region’s longest running events. The list of champions clearly demonstrates the calibre of the field that this tournament attracts, including World Number One - Tiger Woods, World Number Three - Ernie Els, World Number Four - Adam Scott and six times major winner - Nick Faldo.
Featuring prize money of GBP1.25 million (AUD2.5 million), the 2009 Johnnie Walker Classic will make a welcome return to Perth, Western Australia, being played 19 to 22 February at the Vines Resort and Country Club.
