Tour of the Shipwreck Coast Recreational Ride
The Tour of the Shipwreck Coast Recreational Ride will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2008. The event will be open to all cyclists of reasonable age and ability. Participants will have the choice of three distances, all starting and finishing at Warrnambool's Flagstaff Hill.
The Tour of the Shipwreck Coast will be held the day after the legendary 300km Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic - the world's longest one day bike race. The event has the backing of the Victorian Government's Department of Regional Development , the Warrnambool City Council and Shipwreck Coast Tourism.
It will be organised and administered by the Warrnambool Citizens Road Race Committee, in conjunction with the promoting company, Caribou Publications. You can watch the finish of the Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic in Warrnambool's Raglan Parade about 3pm on Saturday October 25, then take part in the Tour of the Shipwreck Coast on the Sunday.
