It's official! The final film line-up for the 2008 Russian Resurrection Film Festival is ready. And what a smorgasbord of film classics will be on offer, ranging from the sublime to the shocking, to the revolutionary legends and the tales of light-hearted whimsy. In 2008, the Festival will feature a film to please everyone!
Celebrating its fifth big year by showcasing 18 films in Adelaide, including 11 recent award winning and box office breaking releases and two retrospectives, the 2008 Russian Resurrection Film Festival proudly presented by BHP Billiton is set to be the biggest and best instalment in the resurrection of Russian cinema to date.
The Opening Night film will be the highly anticipated Nikita Mikhalkov's Oscar nominated film 12, a powerful remake of the 1957 Sidney Lumet classic 12 Angry Men. It received an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film earlier this year, making waves in cinematic circles around the world.
