Redcliffe First Settlement Festival and Redcliffe Superboat Grand Prix
Redcliffe will celebrate its unique character and lifestyle on Sunday, September 21 at the annual First Settlement Festival.
Redcliffe Parade will come alive from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. with a range of colourful activities including the 2008 Redcliffe Superboat Grand Prix.
This year the festival will kick-off with the Big Bayside Brekkie from 8.00 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. featuring live music and the chance to win one of two prizes; a family cruise on board the Brisbane Whale Watching boat and a Redcliffe Seafood Festival pack.
A re-enactment of Queensland's first European landing will be conducted at 10.30 a.m. complete with an indigenous ceremony.
The action will shift into top gear at 12.15 p.m. for the 2008 Redcliffe Superboat Grand Prix.
At 1.15 p.m. Redcliffe will be entertained by the Beach Brothers (Beach Boys) Tribute Show.
