Laser Beak Man: A Double Shot of Happiness - New Artworks by Tim Sharp
Tim Sharp is a young artist from Brisbane, most famously known for his creation of a cheeky, heroic and inspirational superhero called Laser Beak Man.
Tim is 20 years old and has Autism, a lifelong condition that is without a cure. Diagnosed when he was three years old, the doctor's advice was to 'put him away and forget about him'. Rejecting the prognosis, therapy began and bravely Tim tried to overcome what was so terrifying and difficult to him. After being told that Tim would never speak, drawing was used as a way to help him communicate and make sense of the world that he struggled to understand.
At age 11 he invented Laser Beak Man and has been drawing his quirky superhero ever since. 'Laser Beak Man: A Double Shot of Happiness' is an exhibition of the exciting new works by Tim Sharp.
