Medibank International Sydney 2009
Medibank International Sydney 2009 will be bigger, and more exciting than ever. It will be Sydney's international sporting event for the summer - the place to play and be seen!
The 2009 tournament will see the world's top 3 female tennis players and the Olympic Gold medallist battle it out for number one - Jelena Jankovic, Dinara Safina, Serena Williams and Elena Dementieva. The men's field will be led by David Nalbandian, Tommy Robredo and our own Lleyton Hewitt trying for his 5th crown, as well as the dynamic French connection of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Richard Gasquet, the 2008 doubles champions.
For the first time the electronic review system Hawk-eye will feature at the Medibank International Sydney, adding to the drama and excitement on the 10,000 seat Centre Court.
