Monaro Wool And Wood Festival
The Wool 'n' Wood Festival have been combined with Celebrate Lavender and the Australia Day Celebration; to give a great insight into life in Platypus Country-Bombala Region.
The major industries of the area - wool and wood - showcase what goes in their respective industries with great displays, competitions and information stands. The local lavender group, Monaro Country Lavender, have a stand and demonstrate the ancient art of steam distillation and other specialty producers are also represented.
The Australia Day celebration includes the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Awards and the community event of the year. It is an excellent family day outing which celebrates our rural lifestyle.
